# The electrical resistance of human body

What is the order of magnitude of the resistance of human body?

The electrical resistance of the human body depends on the condition of your skin at the time of measurement. If your skin is wet, you could have a resistance of only about 1100 Ohms. With dry skin, the amount is much higher at around 495,000 Ohms.

The electrical resistance of your internal body is much smaller at about 85 Ohms up to 575 Ohms.

In the Final Numeric Link of the Forum, Can we try out this Experiment ?

Its a Interesting Forum thread “Human Beings Insulators Class Research”.

The Posted Topic involves Physics (Ohm’s Law), Chemistry (Human Body Chemistry), Physiology (Dermatology), Mathematics (Mathematical Equation
Rtotal = Rskin(in) + Rinternal + Rskin(out)), Geography (Hot Tropical, Cold Regions).

Summary

Those Human Beings say Top 50 whose Body Electrical Resistance is very High – Can we collect samples for those people in terms of Weight, Body Mass Index, Blood, Urine, Sputum, Biometrics and do research ?.

Diarrhea and Dysentery Diseases causes Dehydration i.e Loss of Fluids and making the Skin Dry.

Maybe if we collect Human Being samples of those who are suffering from these Disease “Diarrhea” , “Dysentery” and check their Body Electrical Resistance.

I Feel they may/might show High Body Electrical Resistance as compared to others. We have to carry out experiments on these Human Being Insulators class.
