What will be the zero spot in electric field lines of 2 opposite charges?

Taha asked this question –¬†what will be the zero spot in electric field lines of 2 opposite charges?”

Answer:

I think the question is about null point. When the charges are of opposite sign, the null point (also called neutral point) is not in between the two charges, but is outside the line joining the two charges (But along the same line produced outwards)

A numerical from Centre of mass

Pearl asks:

Two objects, of mass 1 kg and 2 kg, are moving with velocities equal to +2 m/sec and -3 m/sec. The center of mass of the two objects is moving at velocity

Answer:

CodeCogsEqn

=(1×2+2x(-3)/(1+2)=(2-6)/3=-4/3=-1.33 m/s (-ve sign shows that the centre of mass will be moving in the direction of the second body)
