Nuclear Fission and Fusion

H Manishankar Asked:

which releases more energy?fusion or fission?

Ans:

per fission energy is more for fission, Per unit mass energy released is very much more for fusion

Mani again:

ok..bt our nuclear weapons are not powerful enough .. their energy is infinitesimally smaller than d energy released in natural process like earthquake volcano

Ans: Nuke weapons are targeted and sufficient to produce local destruction

Power Factor

Divya asked:

“A COIL  HAS  A POWER  FACTOR OF 0.707 AT 60Hz, THEN ITS  POWER  FACTOR AT 180Hz WILL BE- ……….?

Ans:

(to be posted soon)

Nature of light, relativity and blackholes

Prasanna asked:

we know light has got dual nature. & blackholes has got enormous gravity from which even light cant escape. how can gravity can influence a mass less stream of particles like gravity?

Ans:

Do you know why solar eclipse is watched with great importance by the scientific community?

OK

Einstein’s theory of General Relativity was proved right(?) when bending of light by masses was observed in reality.

Please go through the links below and hope that you’ll find an answer there.

I think you can write an essay about a bike that you have seen only once. How? Just because of your perception

Try to understand the concepts. You may be trying to by heart the topics .Avoid that .Develop the habit of writing and studying

Coulombian force and conductor

what’s effect of  coulombic forces on conductor medium ?

amk niazi

Ans:

In a conductor, the coulombian  repulsive forces  pushes the valence electrons and the electrons move away from the center to the surface ie from the region of stronger force to the region of lesser force, creating a Faraday cage

The person in a Portrait always looks at me?!

Kunal Asks:

“when we look continuously into the eyes of a person in a photo frame and change our position then the person appears to follow us.why is it so?”

Ans: Because the portrait is inanimate and is drawn in such a way that it is looking at the spectator. So, it will seem to be looking at you when you look at it. But this will not happen in the case of a statue.

Electric Field due to Polarisation

Sreeram asks:

“do charges produced due to polarization in a dielectric produce electric field outside?”

Ans:

When a dielectric is kept in an electric field, it is polarized. The polarized ends are just like the two plates of a parallel plate capacitor. The electric field is confined between the two surfaces (except for some edge effect). So, in a macroscopic point of view, the answer is no.

(However, I agree that there is scope for disagreement and debate when we think and look at the microscopic level. Users of the site are requested to post comments)
