refraction of light in water

Why when we look at the pool the image that we see is smaller than its real one .. i want to calculate this image . Given: n water = 1.33 , n air = 1 , OA = 30 cm ( OA is the real depth of the swimming pool ) i want to calculate OA’ ( the image that I’m seeing when standing beside the pool )

Use the relation

refractive index = RD/AD

where is RD is Real Depth and AD is Apparent Depth
