How to find Angle of Projectile Motion in given example?

In my text book ,t has been mentioned that angle is find by tan ø=vfy/vfx...but the above example do not use this formula ...why?

Formula for maximum height attained by a projectile is given:
H= (u^2 sin^2 theta) / 2g
In the question you are provided with max. height H, initial velocity u,  g is constant,  theta is unknown.
So you can easily calculate theta then.
