Life, Atoms and Physics

Vaibhav came with the question, “The life we consider to be living is lifeless itself as the atoms of which we all are ultimately made up of are non- living themselves. Isn’t it really so?”

What do you think? Does atoms make life? Is life different from Atoms?

We the living things are made up of atoms; the nonliving things too are made up of atoms. So, isn’t life something different from mere combination of atoms. It is “life” which makes the collection of atoms of various kinds live – grow, sustain, reproduce etc.
