# Estimating the size of nucleus

Hi!

How do you figure out the size of a nucleus?  Especially, a Helium-4 nucleus.

Do you have any good charts online I could use?

I would appreciate it if you would write back.

Thanks

Michael

An estimate of the size of nucleus (nuclear radius) can be made from the empirical formula $R&space;=&space;R_{0}A^{1/3}$ where R0 is an empirical constant whose value is 1.25 x 10-15m, A is the mass number.
