## susceptibility

The susceptibility of annealed iron at saturation is 5500.find its permeability at saturation

Ans:                The absolute permeability, μ( = B/H) and the volume susceptibilityκ (= J/μ0H), are related by the equation: μ = μ0(1 + κ)

## CONDUCTING SLAB BETWEEN THE PLATES Schematic of a parallel plate capacitor with a dielectric spacer. Two plates with area A are separated by a distance d . When a charge pm{}Q is moved between the plates, an electric field E exists in the region between the plates. The dielectric material becomes polarised due to the charge displacement, reducing the total internal field, and increasing the capacitance. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

How the value of capacitance change if we introduce conducting slab in between?

Sureshkumar kve

Capacitance increases as the distance between the plate reduces Is the energy required to break a sample of string proportional to the length of string or is the energy requirednto break the sting constant?

Ans

The energy required to break a string depends on the stress known as tensile failure stress. It is not related to the length of the string .for more knowledge ref. Mohr’s theory

## magnetic field

Which one we should use Bio saverts law or amperes law to find a magnetic field?

chirag

Both are used to find the magnetic field .In the case  of physical magnet Biot-Savarts law can be used

In the case of a current carrying conductor Ampers circuital law is used

## Tensor

streess is tensor, then, what is meant by tensor?

rupasri

Ans:

Tensors are used to represent the relation between vectors. They are geometrical objects which show’s    the  relation between vectors, vectors and scalars. It is  a geometrical maping of the relations .Tensor analysis ,a branch in mathematics is helping to solve the complex equations in which many vectors are involved

## SPEED OF LIGHT AND REFRACTION

How light maintain its speed after refraction.

Dr. Naveen Saxena

n=c/v,naturally velocity of light decrease in refraction.but even even then it has the velocity in the order of 108m.In refraction,

the frequency of light remains the same ,but the wavelength

changes
