Welcome to AskPhysics Project

Dare ask questions!

Have you faced a situation when you wanted to ask some doubts to a teacher, but could not because of the fear of ridicule – thinking what others will think?

Our survey reveals that most of the students face this situation quite often. Physics teachers often complain of the lack of response from the students. Many questions expected from a novice learner are not received. The students just pretend to have understood everything. Though they have many doubts in their mind, they do not ask. They just suppress their doubts.

Mathew Abraham, the founder of AskPhysics.com projejct says,

I always motivate my students to ask questions. I often tell them – “Only those questions are foolish which are not asked”. Then I will add; While learning Physics ‘questioning every answer is more important than answering every question’.

So, we have created this website where the students can ask even the dumbest doubts without any fear. There is no one to ridicule them. We analyze the questions received here and try our level best to answer them satisfactorily with due explanations and illustrations.

[The main issue we face nowadays is that the students have developed a habit of posting their Homework questions to us. This is a bad practice. The Homework questions are meant to be answered by your own effort. At AskPhysics, we encourage you to ask those apparently foolish questions, which you wanted to ask your teacher but couldn't because of fear of shame; or those questions which arose in your mind when you read some book, newspaper or magazine, or watched a programme on TV or Internet. We encourage you to think and explore the nature of nature.]
